Verder bouwen aan VV Alkmaar.
VV Alkmaar is de Eredivisieclub voor Vrouwen uit Alkmaar en omstreken. Vanaf seizoen 2018-2019 zijn er vier teams actief voor de club: Het eerste team neemt deel aan de Eredivisie Vrouwen, de Beloften spelen in de nieuw opgerichte Beloftencompetitie, het onder 17 team speelt als JO16 -1M in Alkmaar in de 1e klasse. Het vierde, dit seizoen nieuw gestarte team is onder 15 en is als JO14 - 1M tevens in de 1e klasse begonnen en speelt ondertussen in de hoofdklasse. Daarnaast is er de academie waar zo'n 40 meiden vanaf 12 jaar 2 - 4 trainingen per week combineren met voetbal bij hun eigen club en onderwijs op de Topsport Talentschool OSG Willem Blaeu.
Het alles overstijgende doel is om meiden uit Noord-Holland een grotere kans te bieden tot het hoogste voetbalniveau in Nederland door te dringen. VV Alkmaar is een voorbeeld geweest voor Nederland als het gaat om het zelf opleiden. Tot vorig seizoen waren wij de enige Eredivisieclub met een volledig eigen opleiding. Wij zijn dan ook verheugd dat de KNVB en Eredivisie Vrouwen hebben besloten dat iedere Eredivisieclub een eigen opleiding moet ontwikkelen.
2019-2025
VV Alkmaar is op het punt gekomen dat de club zowel voetbaltechnisch als organisatorisch wil groeien naar een hoger niveau. De staf heeft een plan opgesteld hiervoor. Hoofdpunten hieruit zijn:
Lidmaatschap bij VV Alkmaar.
Het is niet voor iedereen mogelijk lid te worden, VV Alkmaar scout haar nieuwe leden. De vereniging is namelijk een topsportvereniging, een echte opleidingsclub. Op termijn is dus het doel om het eerste team volledig samen te stellen uit eigen opleiding. Selectiedagen voor de academie vinden in februari plaats tegelijk met de open dagen van de middelbare scholen.
Wij zijn trots op onze plek aan de Robonsbosweg 10, een complex dat wij delen met AFC ‘34. De nieuwe kleedkamers, kantoren, overige faciliteiten en een grote nieuwe overdekte tribune garanderen voor meiden, vrouwen, sponsors en fans een beleving op topniveau.
